30th Annual Canton of Borderwinds Protectorate Tournament -- Borderwinds

Hark! Tis the Canton's 30th Anniversary, & time once again to bestow, by right of arms, the title of the Lady of Love and Beauty ( or Lord of Love and Honor) upon your consort. Show your prowess on the Field of Honor! Place the Wreath of Victory upon your consort, your mark upon the Baldric & have your consort be honored at our 30th annual Court of Love ! Come join us for a day filled with pageantry, revelry, frolicking, food & fun (not necessarily in that order). This year's Protectorate Tourney is open to all fighters, as well as the Fabulous Prize Tourney. All Protectorate entrants must have a consort present to be eligible, but no consort is needed for the Fabulous Prize Tourney. Fighting begins at Noon. Contests are- BEST: Death; Salute to Consort; Salute to Opponent; Grieving; Most Chivalrous and Fighter's Garb(worn). Bardic :"All's Fair in Love & War" (original works).Food Contests: (PLEASE NOTE-NO Coconut or Strawberries in ANY food entries, please !), "Tarts with a Twist": fruits & Bacon. A tart made with fruit combo'd with bacon (beef or turkey bacon can be substituted); "Chocolate Covered..."(you choose an edible). Activities for the small ones will happen throughout the day. There will be a Silent Auction & all donations will be gratefully accepted.

POTLUCK- bring your favorite BBQ item, & a dish to serve 8, as follows (by legal last name):A-H: appetizers/salads/soups); I-P: Side or Main Dish; Q-Z: desserts.The Canton will provide bread & charcoal for the potluck & BBQ will be after the fighting. If you have a specialty dish you'd like to bring instead, please email the autocrat.
