     The Barony of Selviergard invites you to attend a Viking-themed Jól celebration as we welcome the holiday season and celebrate the return of our Baron from the Crusades. Come make merry and enjoy a warm hall, good friends, and diversions to keep your mind away from the winter months ahead.Feast will be potluck by Persona. Culture: Norse/British Isles cultures bring a dessert, Western Mainland European bring a meat, Eastern Mainland European bring a vegetable, Middle Eastern or other cultures not listed please bring starches. Bring your games to play inside (Nordic games will be provided as well), or if you are feeling adventurous (and weather permitting) try your hand in a Kubb game or two.
     Additionally, a Hnefatafl Tournament will commence sponsored by Sticks-n-Bones; the Oerthan Gaming Guild. Don't know how to play? Not a problem--a brief introductory class will be given by Halfdan. Contests include: Bragging Competition, Bardic Competition, and The Annual Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament to determine who will be the Lord and Lady of Misrule. Arts and Sciences Competitions include: Norse Winter Gear, Hats, Bats in Any Mode, and Warming Foods as a cooking contest (details for the Arts and Sciences competitions will be posted to the lists).
