Santa Clara, CA

From The Page (August, 2012):

Do you ever wish a feast could come with marvelous ongoing bardic entertainment? This one will! Come gather in the feast hall to witness (or participate in) the battle of wits and words, of story and song that will determine who the next Bard of the Mists shall be. You won’t be bored! A marvelous feast will be crafted by Flidais Ni Eitigen. Menu will be available in next month’s newsletter. Depending on time and the number of competitors, auditors (those wishing to try their bardic skill without formally competing for the position of Bard) may be welcome. The populous is particularly encouraged to try their hands—or pens—at the 3 Words/ 15 Minutes challenge!

As per tradition, the bardic competition shall be composed of fi ve parts:

  1. A period piece (documentation should be brief but convincing)
  2. An original piece in a period style (documentation should be brief but convincing)
  3. Masterwork – a piece to highlight what you do best
  4. Bard’s Challenge: Original piece to inspire the populous to improve our society some way
  5. The famed Three Words Out of a Hat / Fifteen Minutes challenge
If you plan to compete, wish to audit or if you have any questions about the competition, please contact Derelei ingen Ferat, the current Bard of the Mists at (email omitted) or by phone (between 10 am and 10 pm only please) at (omitted).
