From The Page (December, 2012):
The Shire of Crystalmist, Cynagua’s northern border guard, welcomes all to their annual Yule Feast. This year’s feast promises to be a
special occasion, as Their Highnesses grace us with Their presence. Come and join us for feasting, dancing, fencing, feasting, gift exchanging,
more dancing, children’s activities, and even more feasting. This year’s feast will be catered by our very own Kalista Kulinova. She is preparing
savory and sweet dishes to tempt every palate. If you have a special dietary request, please feel free to contact her with your concerns. Bring a
gift valued at between $10 and $15 for the “Viking Gift Exchange”. There will be two games set up; one for the kids and one for the adults. We
will have extra gifts so that everyone can participate.
We will host a small, friendly A&S “competition”. The winner will receive a special snowflake obsidian medallion. The theme throughout will be Medieval Yule, and the categories will be: Table decorations (most festive table setting)-Documentation not required, Bread for the Season- Documentation not required but a description of when/where would be nice, Some seasonal artsy display of your choice, spotlighting the snowflake (Crystalmist’s symbol) or our beloved Swan- Documentation not required.
Bring also your fencing gear, as we plan a prize tourney during the festivities. The prize for this will also be the coveted snowflake obsidian. We also award the “Snowflake Award” for those who have committed exceptional service for our Shire. This is open to outsiders as well, who have contributed to the success of our little spot on the mountain. Please email the Autocrat any suggestions for this award.
