For twenty-five years the White Shield Tournament has taken place, and many great fi ghters have fought and been victorious on its tournament fi eld. It is time to join us in celebrating this joyous occasion as we mark a quarter century of excellence. Gather with us to witness the next champions of Darkwood. Test your skill against the best fi ghters of the Kingdom, both heavy and rapier. Hear the tales of tournaments past as we hold the Bard of the Oaks Tournament. The Darkwood Silent Auction also returns to this event this year. After you have had your fi ll of combat, the cooks of Darkwood wish you to stay and feast with us. The Bard of the Oaks competition will be held during the feast. The categories are: Best Story, Best Original Piece Extolling Your Favorite Sin, and 3 Words from a Hat. Site Information: Monterey County Sheriff's Posse Grounds (Address removed). Site opens at 9am and will close at 10pm. Site fee is $8 for members, $13 for Non-Members. Children under 12 will be free. The Feast will be an additional $12; Children wishing to stay for the feast will be $6.
