Eamgyld celebrates the arrival of spring! In addition to the heavy weapons tournament there will be a variety of activities and competitions. Activities will include a class on common herbs and discussion of blackwork, as well as music and dancing. Competitions will include best costume use of duct tape, best/most detailed illuminated letter (Alaska theme preferred), best use of blackwork in a costume piece, and a Tall Tales competition (10 minute limit). Entry of more than one piece (except in Tall Tales) and entry in multiple categories is encouraged.
Site Information: Eagle Beach State Recreation Area, (address omitted), Juneau, AK. Site opens Friday at noon and closes Sunday at 2pm. Dinner Friday night, breakfast, lunch and feast on Saturday are included, though you are welcome to bring dishes to share. The site is dry. Leashed pets only. Bring your own campmg gear. The campground charges $10 per night per vehicle, no matter the number of occupants. Our event fee is $5 per adult, $2.50 per child for SCA members. Nonmembers pay an extra $5.
