Pioneer Park Equestrian Arena,
From The Page (March, 2011):
West Kingdom! Come to the beautiful foothills and enjoy a day of equestrian classes, equine interaction, great FOOD, grand fellowship and FUN! Spring Equestrium will be held at Pioneer Park in the shire of Mountains Gate! It is a beautiful location with lots of shaded picnic areas, a great playground, flush privies, two great arenas and easy trailer parking! Spring Equestrium WILL have something for everyone! You DO NOT need a horse...but if you have one please bring it with you! We'll have LOTS of interactive, hands on classes - mounted and un-mounted - and activities for equine enthusiasts of every level such as weapons handling, silk banner making, improving your period appearance and a discussion on the Gaston Phebus hunt book! We're even having a "PERIOD" POTLUCK PICNIC! Bring a side dish or dessert to share. Kudos for period dishes! There will be a prize awarded for best "period" picnic set up! Main course will be provided. Check out the updated schedule on the West Kingdom Calendar (website address omitted) and Mountain's Gate (website address omitted) websittes
There are great wineries right up the road from the site if you want to make it a weekend stay. There is also a trailer friendly convenience store/fuel station at the corner! Crash space for people and horses is available on Friday and Saturday night about 20 minutes from the site. We plan to feed "crash space" guests so please RSVP by March 30,2011 if you need crash space (or just want to come and hang out afterwards). A BBQ dinner will happen after the event on Saturday.
