St. Mark's Episcopal Church,
Santa Clara, CA
From The Page (October, 2010):
JUVENALIA!!! We are hosting the event of all events: an excellent Feast, a meeting of good friends, games of all types, the wonderful West Kingdom Choir, a Bardic Circle and a fun revel all around.
We will have the races Flagon to the Dragon, Serf's Up! and various other fantastical feats of finesse and ferocity. Returning is the Silver Tongued Devil competition, a test of wits and wile. For more fun activities, see our web page (listed below). Please remember to bring gift(s) for the Viking Gift Exchange (please spend no more than $10 per gift, and only one per person) and the "Toys for Tots" charity. As you check in at the gate, you will be given a token for each gift for the Viking Gift Exchange. You are welcome to bring as many donations to "Toys for Tots" as your charitable nature desires. Please remember that the organizers for "Toys for Tots" need the gifts to be in their original packages and unwrapped.
The period Feast will be served in three courses from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and will feature vegetarian selections as well as chicken and lamb. Feastocrat and Chef, Arianna Archer, and her assistants are from Le Cordon Bleu Academy. She will be ably assisted by experienced period cooks. Duke Cariadoc has graciously advised and consulted with Arianna in the planning and many of the recipe choices. Please address dietary concerns through the Autocrat, Vashti of House Archer.
You will be able to find up-to-date information on our website (website address omitted) or through our link on the Kingdom Calendar.
