The Forty-Fifth Year

Rumble in the Jungle 2: Tournament of the Tiger -- Golden Playne

April 16-18, 2011 (AS XLV)

Ampawa Homestay Site,
Samut-Songkram, Thailand

From The Page (April, 2011):

In the tropical jungles of Golden Playne, it's time for cubs to rise and roar! But know that the jungle of Golden Playne needs only brave, mighty, and valorous Tigers! We call all authorized Heavy Fighters of Golden Playne and any of those Heavy Fighters who can travel from their home and wishes to join us at Leonardo Phenix's not-so-secret Campsite. The Tigers will be chosen by a three-fold tournament. First, you will undergo the Test of Courage, in which all Combatants must fight with Polearms only. Second, you will endure the Test of Spirits: fighter must fight with one sword over a Barrier to five counted blows or to yield. Third, you must prove yourself in the Test of Valour: fighters will choose the weapon of their choice and challenge other Fighters! The more fighters you challenge the more points you score! We will also have classes on such diverse topics as Heraldry, Armor Making, Dance, and the Culinary Arts, and at the end of each day we will eat a Dinner of the Tigers and gather round the campfire.

Site Information: Ampawa Homestay Site, Ampawa, Samut-Songkram, THAILAND. Site Fee: 100 (Thai baht). The site will open at 12 noon on Friday and close at 1 pm on Sunday.
