From The Page (July, 2010):
The forces of Evil threaten the fertile fields of the Incipient Canton of Golden Playne. Their Excellencies, Lady Abe Toonishi-no-Kami Akirakeiko, Palatine Baroness of the Far West, and Lord Ii Toonishi-no-Kami Katsumori, Baron of the Far West, call on all authorized fighters in the Incipient Canton of Golden Playne and any of those who can travel for Their other cantons and strongholds to join Them at Lord Fabian Silverhawk's manorial estate to select the Defender of Golden Playne. The Defender will be chosen on the basis of a triple tournament. The first tournament will be a random weapons tourney. In the second, the fighters will select their own weapons. The third tournament will involve teams of two fighters. The winners of each of these tournaments will then progress to the final round, in which the Golden Playne Defender will be chosen. After the tournaments. Their Excellencies will hold a Baronial court, and then we will have a feast of barbecued meats and traditional Thai foods. When the feast is over, there will be dancing and general revelry until the site closes. There will be no fee for the event; however, there will be a charge of THB 200 for the feast. Reservations for the feast are due by 19 June 2010. We will be taking reservations all the way through the Far West's Baronial Birthday event.
