The Forty-Fourth Year

The EverBeach War -- Fendrake Marsh

September 18-20, 2009 (AS XLIV)

Churchill State Park,
Silver Springs, NV

From The Page (August, 2009):

It's not an Uprising. It's a Rising UP! The Oracles from the deep deserts of the Shire have had a vision. "The Kingdom will fall into the sea and be covered in the waters of the great western oceans." So we invite you to come join us in competition to get your share of future beachfront property! Contests will be held, with the winners given a chance to stake a claim on new sandy beaches! (Only if the prophesy comes true, of course.) Who will you fight for? The mercenaries who hope to carve out a new Kingdom of their own, or your rightful ruler, The King of the West? War points can be earned for: heavy combat scenarios, weapon style champions, having the most volunteers, having the most A&S displays (bring any project, completed or not) and winners of brewer's contests (beers/ales, wine/mead and cordials). A Laurel's Madras will be held during the day. Learn new skills such as Middle Eastern garb, 3-stick weaving, jewelry-making and much more! Fees may be charged for class supplies. The feast Saturday night is a stone soup potluck (meats provided.) Bring a side dish to share.

Site Information: Site opens 4pm on Friday and closes 4pm on Sunday. Site fee is $12 ($15 for non-members) $8 under 12. Make checks payable to "SCA, Inc.-Fendrake Marsh." Ft. Churchill State park. Boy Scout camp /(address omitted) / Silver Springs, NV 89429. Potable water will be at the site, but no showers. Pets MUST be leashed.

Autocrat: Lars Golbjorn (contact info omitted).
