The Forty-Fourth Year

July 4th Demo -- Earngyld

July 4, 2009 (AS XLIV)

Sandy Beach,
Douglas, AK

From The Page (May, 2009):

The Shire of Earngyld invites all to join us for our prime recruiting event of the year in cooperation with the Juneau/Douglas 4th of July celebration. Opportunities will be available for much fighting, as well as showing off other arts and activities (weather permitting). We are permitted to set up the night before, and arrival at least 45 minutes prior to start time is strongly recommended since the only through street on the island is also the parade route. Crash space available in RV's on site.

Site Information: Sandy Beach/ end of Third Street/ Douglas AK. Set-up opens July 3rd at 5 p.m. Site opens on July 4th by 1 pm, demo starts at 2 pm, demo ends around 5 pm (depending on weather and the crowd), and site closes around 7 pm. Tear-down may occur on the 5th if needed due to weather. There is no site fee.

Autocrat: Karl Helweg (contact info omitted).

Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
