Bardic Competition -- Principality of the Mists

Feasting season is upon us and now is the time that we join in warm company to listen to poem and song as we bear witness to the competition for the next Bard of the Mists.

The competitions beginning at 1 pm will consist of the same traditional five rounds: First: A period piece. Second: A piece in a period style. Third: Bard's Choice - This year, the current Bard of the Mists requests a piece in praise of Pelicans, either the entire Order or particular Pelican or Pelicans. Fourth: Your Masterwork - Please perform a piece that you have written that displays your talent at its best. Fifth: Draw three words out of a hat and compose a piece in fifteen minutes. *There is one further requirement.* In one round you must involve at least one other person in your performance, e.g. play a duet, stage a scene from a play, or sing a madrigal. If you have any questions regarding the competitions or wish to declare your intent to compete, please contact the Bard of the Mists, Mistress Juliana of Tregony at (email address omitted).

A grand feast in the Russian style will be prepared for you by the able hands of Sir Andrew Shay Forestborn. Tickets are available from the autocrat in person at an event, by email, or by calling the contact information below.

Site opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m. Site fee: $8 for members, $11 for non-members, $4 for children under 12. The feast fee will be an additional $11 per person.
