Wilder Ranch State Park,
Santa Cruz, CA
From The Page (June, 2008):
Come and enjoy a weekend learning about all things equestrian in the SCA. Bring yourselves, horses if you have them and a thirst for knowledge of the equestrian arts. Though an equine partner is useful, many of the classes will not necessarily require one. Authorized riders who don't have a horse need to make arrangements with someone who does ahead of time if they wish to ride. Please contact the Kingdom or Principality EQ officer listed in the Page and attend one of your local EQ practices if you need to authorize.
There are miles of open space, plenty of room for trucks and trailers, and open area for camping. There are a limited number of small pipe pens for the horses (reserve with the Autocrat). Please bring a portable pen if you have one. Other equine accommodations are being researched.
Bring a dish for the Potluck dinner on Saturday night. Share your stories for the evening's entertainment. Though there is water for the horses, people will need to bring their own. Please contact the Autocrat if you are going to attend so we can arrange for stabling and camping space (especially if you need a pen).
