Join us for feasting and fun, & the Rock, Paper, Scissors contest, to decide the Lord & Lady of Misrule! There will be heavy and rapier tournaments to appoint two Holly Lords/ Ladies. A special A&S contest will be held: Pantomimes, three-to-five-minute plays, on moral themes or folk stories popular in period. Documentation is admired but not required. "Medieval Folklore: A Guide to Myths, Legends, Tales, Beliefs, and Customs" by Carl Lindahl is a good research book for this contest, ask to see the autocrat's copy. White elephant gift exchange! Each adult who wishes to participate should bring one wrapped gift, not to exceed $20 in worth. Children under fifteen will receive small gift bags from the Barony. The potluck feast will be held at 4pm, with meats and breads provided. Please bring a dish to serve 8-10 people according to your birth month: Jan- Apr side dish, May-Aug veggies, and Sep-Dec desserts. Please bring a crockpot or some other type of warmer. Site is dry.
