Morgan Hill, CA
From The Page (November, 2007):
Thanksgiving is coming, and finally, you can bring home a turkey that will prove your awe-inspiring sword-work! Three turkeys will be awarded: one for the top belted fighter, one for the top unbelted fighter and one for the top rapier fighter! Before the fighting starts, we will be hosting a Helm Lunch Auction! All fighters are encouraged to create a picnic for two. Your meal will be displayed next to your helm and auctioned off to the highest bidder who will then enjoy both your tasty meal and your delightful company! After all of that noble fighting, be sure to stick around and enjoy a live-steel bottlecutting contest! Bring your live-steel weapons and spare two-liter bottles. Finally, participate in our Groveling Contest! Grovel before Their Excellencies, the Baroness and Baron of Darkwood!
Site Information: Community Park in Morgan Hill. The site opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. The Helm Lunch Auction will begin at 11:30 am. Fighting begins at 1 pm. There is no site fee, but donations are gratefully accepted. ($5 recommended donation)
