Durham Veterans Memorial Hall,
From The Page (November, 2006):
Their Excellencies, Coronado and Jehanne, extend a warm invitation to the populace of the West to share their bountiful feasting table, and to celebrate the Yuletime with the men and women of Rivenoak, as they make merry in their games, contests, dancing, and sundry amusements of the season.
The feast will start about 6:30 pm. This year the feast will be in the potluck style, with the Baron to provide the meat for all. Each person is requested to bring a side dish enough to serve your group, plus a few others. There will also be a dessert contest: if you wish to participate, bring a dessert to be judged as "most appropriate to the Yule Season." The winner will obtain a prize, and be awarded the title of "Confectioneer to the Coronet of Rivenoak." The Baron also wishes that all who attend come prepared to give and receive an abundant amount of holiday spirit. You are encouraged to bring your favorite table games. There will be a contest and prize for the table setting with the "Most Festive Yule Spirit." Please bring your banners to help decorate the hall. Be aware that the hall is large enough that none will have an excuse to not dance. Fighters, don't forget to stay around for the famous Rivenoak fighter practice on Sunday at 11am at One Mile area, Bidwell Park in Chico.
