The Fortieth Year

Torneo e Convito -- Silver Desert

July 30, 2005 (AS XL)

Emmanual First Baptist Church,
Sparks, NV

From The Page (June, 2005):

What is a Tomeo e Convito?? Well, it's a Tournament and Feast... Italian Style!

We will have passes at the barrier, Grande Melees, and honorable challenges to fill the day. After the tournament, there will be a feast in the style of 14th century Italy to fill our bellies and pass the evening. See below for a taste of the menu!

Site Information: Site opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. Feast hall will open at 4 pm for setup, feast will be served at 6 pm. Cost for the touney and feast will be $18 for adults if purchased by July 15. Cost for tourney/feast is $12 for children ages 9-15 and free for children 8 and under. Site fee for the tourney alone is $5 for members, children 8 and under are free. Feast/Tourney fee if purchased after July 15 & at the door (if available) will be $20. The $3 non-member surcharge will be in effect, it will be collected at sign-in. West Kingdom Welcome Committee will be there, offering to pay the NMS. A lunch of soups and savory tarts will be included in the site fee for all. We ask that feast tickets be purchased in advance, so the cooks have a better idea of budget. Please note: This is a dry site. For more information: (website address omitted). Tickets can be reserved on the website or by contacting the Autocrat or Head Cook.

Autocrat: Hrothgeirr Hroaldsson (contact info omitted).
