Ben Lomond, CA
From The Page (May, 2005):
We invite you to join the poachers and rascals of the canton as we celebrate our latest "acquisitions." This year the Lord and Lady Anderson have graciously given us sanctuary on their lands. We will laugh and celebrate and choose our new Lord and Lady of Misrule. Feasting will include portions of what our poachers can bring. This is a family event; we welcome the younger of our ruffians to accompany their parents. We even have our own playground for them to frolic in. The site borders the San Lorenzo River, so the water-safe ones can splash and wade as well.
Site Information: The site opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. The site fee is $10 for members eating the poacher's meat and $13 for non-members, $7 for members not eating meat and $10 for non members. We are providing meat (venison, beef and chicken) but we ask that you bring dishes to share based on your SCA first name: A-H Breads/ Cheeses; I-P Salads/Vegetables; Q-Z Pastries/Puddings/Sweets. Period dishes are always appreciated. Bring your own beverages. This is a dry site. Highlands Park has plenty of parking, but there is another event happening this day. Please car pool. Off-site parking and shuttle service are available if you make arrangements in advance with the autocrat, (website address omitted).
Autocrat: Robert of Ravenshill (contact info omitted).
