We will be doing a few new things this year such as pre-registration, a small sideboard during lunchtime Arts competition performances and much more. There will be a variety of 20-minute demonstrations throughout the day and many 90 minute workshops, including such things as: Glass Blowing, Glass Bead Making, Middle Eastern Dancing, Cheese Making, Middle Eastern Costuming, and much more.
The competitions for this event will be:
Performing Art: A Period Love Song (3 min. max.)
Performing Art: Any Period Form of Poem or Song: Topic: Beauty (3 min. max)
Fine Arts: An Illuminated Border
Fine Arts: Heraldic Banners
Technical Science: Research Paper: Guilds in England
Technical Science: Horse Barding Practical Science: Preserved Foods- Sugared, salted, brined, dried, fermented, pickled
Practical Science: Brewing: A Period Ale
Site Restrictions: There will not be any target archery at this event. Dogs must be on a leash at all times and the other end of the leash must be attached to something or someone. Please clean up after your dogs so we may continue to use this site. No cannons. A noise ordinance will take effect at 10 pm.
Site Information: Site fee is $10 for members, $13 for non-members, $5 for children. There is a park assessed fee of $5 per car for those day tripping or a $6 fee per car/night for camping. Site opens at noon on Friday and closes at 4 pm on Sunday.
