The Thirty-ninth Year

West/An Tir War -- Kingdom of the West

July 2-5, 2004 (AS XXXIX)

Crescent City, CA

From The Page (May, 2004):

Wuduholt be Secg is again ready for the mighty armies of An Tir and the West to converge on the cool northcoast for WAR!!! The war will be held on the same 110 acres of easily accessible ranch land as before, which is close to public river and beach access. There is little shade, but temperatures shouldn't exceed 75 degrees as a cool breeze blows off the nearby ocean. Please be prepared for cool nights around 50 degrees with fog. Everyone is encouraged to bring potable water, as the limited supply we have will go to the fighters. Be prepared, please bring mosquito repellent and sun block... and rain gear (you never know on the coast). All pets must be leashed. West Kingdom fire laws prohibit open flames (i.e. tiki torches, candles, etc.) on site or inside pavilions. All fires must be raised 18 inches above*the ground. Some type of fire extinguisher (the real thing or a bucket of water or sand) must be nearby all fires. All fires must be attended while burning. NO USING FIREWORKS OR DISCHARGING FIREARMS (Cannons) ON SITE! OFFENDERS WILL BE ESCORTED OFF SITE! The battle field is large and relatively flat with a big forested area for excellent woods battles. There will be fighting on both Saturday and Sunday. We are planning to have multiple castles this year for siege and resurrection battles with lots of fighting being planned on both days for all melee and missile combatants!!! WAR! WAR! WAR!

Site Information: Site opens on Friday at 2 pm and closes on Monday at 5 pm. Site fee is $15 for members, $18 for non-members, $8 for children 5 to 12, and babes under 5 are FREE. Merchants, contact the West Kingdom Merchant Liason, Markus Stonegrinder, at (email address omitted).

Autocrat: Thorkil Stormchaser (contact info omitted).
