The Thirty-ninth Year

War From the Heart -- Crosston

July 18, 2004 (AS XXXIX)

Penitencia Creek Park,
San Jose, CA

From The Page (June, 2004):

For the fifth and final year, Geoffrey Mathias and Geoffrey Scott do cordially invite you to celebrate their birthdays with 120 battles. This year, you'll get all die fighting you can stomach in the Battle for the Bowels. All are invited to join Knight & squire as they host 120 battles in a day as a pledge to fight inflammatory bowel disease. The fighting will take place at Penitencia Creek Park, famed for recent Wargies & War Colleges. With 120 battles planned, you can fight your guts out! This will be a fun & fast paced war with the same format as previous years. Weapon limits: Half the battles will be 7.5' max and half will be 9' max. As this is the last year for this event, don't miss out on your chance to demonstrate your intestinal fortitude by fighting in over 100 battles in a day! Come and fight! Come and watch! Come and make a pledge to fight IBD!

We take the site at 8 am, and the first battle starts at 9 am SHARP! During the day snacks and treats will be provided, including a lunch at noon.

Site Information: There is no site fee, but donations to offset costs will be gladly accepted. (All site donations in excess of event expenses will be donated to tiie Crohns & Colitis Foundation of America -website address omitted) Autocrat: Catherine of Wessex (contact info omitted).
