The Thirty-ninth Year

The Great Lemming War -- St. Katherine

April 24, 2005 (AS XXXIX)

Cragmont Park,
Berkeley, CA

From The Page (April, 2005):

Are you man/woman/child/people enough to face the Mighty Lemming Horde? The College is hosting a Boffer War in Cragmont Park, Berkeley. Come drive suicidal mammals to the cliffs! PETA members and others lacking the urge to commit wanton acts of foamy violence need not attend. There will be loaner weapons but all are very encouraged to bring their own implements of doom (Please remember that stiffened weapons cannot be used on children in public). Liquids and some fruit-related refreshments will be provided, but the populace should bring a picnic lunch to fortify themselves for the grueling task of whacking people. Planned activities: Scenarios, melees, wanton violence, contests for best and most hideous boffer, most outrageous fake death, most blood-curdling battle cry, most creative misuse of lemmings and/or lemming fur.

Site Information: Cragmont Park (address omitted) Berkeley CA. Site opens at 9 am and closes at 5 pm. There is no site fee but donations will be accepted.

Autocrat: Loria Delamare (contact info omitted)
