Horsemen, pay heed: Sharpen your lances and polish your harness, the College of Equestrian Arts invites you to join us in Cynagua for the Spring Equestrian Event. All are welcome, rider and non-rider alike. There will be various mounted games and demonstrations. This also is the final event to score in the AS 39 IKEqC. More detailed information in the April Page, and on the WK EqArts website (website address omitted) or the WestKingdomEQ Yahoo group (website address omitted). The Equestrian Marshal in Charge is Siobhan ni Seaghdha. Horse Owners: If you and your horses need overnight accommodation, please contact the autocrat for further information.
Rental Horses: To compete on a rental horse, you must get mounted practice with the wrangler on the horses trained for it one month before the event. Even if you have rented from JB Ranch last year, you must still contact the wrangler (and the autocrat), by the Reservation Deadline of March 23,2005 to be sure he remembers you and to discuss which horse he should bring for you. He will need weight and height, horse experience, horses previously rented and at which event. The rates are $65/half-day, or $130/full-day rental, paid by check payable to the wrangler with reservation. The wrangler is (name/phone omitted).
Beginning riders: With a MINIMUM of six half-day reservations for beginning riders, our wrangler will bring horses suitable for riding only at a walk. There are a limited number of horses for larger riders, so please reserve early. From 10 am to 1 pm, you will have one hour of supervised riding, an hour in which to authorize, or continue practice also under supervision if already an authorized rider, then a 45 minute guided trail ride. The rental rate is $65, and we need the same information as above along with your check payable to JB Ranch for your reservation by March 23,2005.
Site Information: Central Park Arena, (address omitted), Rio Linda CA. Site fee is $8 for members, $11 non-members, $6 for children 5-17. Parents note that there is a running creek nearby, supervise your children closely. Please leave non-equine pets at home. Site opens at 9 am, we must be cleaned up and off site by 7 pm
