The Thirty-ninth Year

Equestrian Event

October 2, 2004 (AS XXXIX)

Robertson Park,
Livermore, CA

From The Page (August, 2004):

Kingdom Equestrians and Horse Lovers, come join the West Kingdom Equestrian Guild as we celebrate Diverse Equestrian Arts. Activities planned so far include mounted games, a cavalry maneuvers class (mounted), an open equestrian arts display, Styrofoam-lance jousting, and various contests, including one for best helmet cover. Also planned is a Grand Mounted Progress, so now's the time to make that horse barding you've always wanted!

Rentals will be available, but you must reserve a horse in advance! Our wrangler is Jerry Bestpitch, who has supphed us with horses in the past and is familiar with our games. Rental costs are estimated to be $130 for a full day and $60 for a half day. To reserve a horse, make your check out to "Jerry Bestpitch" and send it as soon as possible to the autocrat. (Note: There may be a modest price increase due to the recent rise in fuel prices. However, sending your check now will guarantee that you will have a horse to ride.)

Site Information: The site, Robertson Park, is an equestrian-specific facility. We will have the use of two uncovered arenas and a large covered picnic area. It is located at (address omitted), Livermore, CA 94550. Site opens at 8 am and we must be off-site by 7 pm. Please do not bring personal tents or sunshades as tent stakes are not allowed. There is plenty of water available on site for your horses, and a dumpster will be available for manure disposal. No camping is permitted; please call the Autocrat for information on nearby horse camping facilities. Site fee is $8 for members, $11 for non-members, $5 for children 12 and under, and children under age 5 are free.

EqMiC: Marguerite du Royon (contact info omitted).

Autocrat: Genevieve de Vendome (contact info omitted).
