Santa Maria, CA
From The Page (July, 2004):
Join us as we mark our 22nd year! This year's tourney will be presided over by our current Lady of Love and Beauty, Anne Brynley, and our current Protector, Leotulf of the Silver Hills. This tourney shall determine who our next Protector will be. The Protectorate itself, this year, may only be entered by local fighters, but the overall tourney winner may be anyone who is strong enough to prevail and win. All Protectorate fighters must have a consort to enter the tourney, as their consort shall become the Lady/Lord of Love and Beauty; however, those who wish merely to fight (and possibly take the overall tourney prize) need not have a consort present. The Lady/Lord of Love and Beauty will preside over a Court of Love in their honor later in the year, and winners must attend all Borderwinds events. Fighter Contests: Most Chivalric, Best Deatli, Most Entertaining Fight-individual; Most Entertaining- duo. Populace Contests: Most Gallant, Most Entertaining Mourning, Best Dish: Chocolate (be advised: COCONUT in ANY form and raspberries are right out. Thank you.) Bardic: Songs, Bardic: Poems/Stories. There will be a poduck dinner after the tourney: please bring your feast gear, a dish to serve 8, and something to BBQ if you want meat. Charcoal will be provided.
Site Information: We will be at Waller Park. Site opens at 10 am and closes at dusk. Site Fee is $2 for members, $5 for non-members. Pets must be leashed. Children must be supervised. This is a dry site.
Autocrat: Jena Whitehart (contact info omitted).
