From The Page (September, 2003):
]om us as we celebrate our 25th Anniversary Championship Tourney and fight a war! Silver Desert and Rivenoak are settling their dispute over the ownership of Stone Guard (Quincy) in the civilized way- with a war! Expect all the usual scenarios plus steal the sheep. Fighting to begin promptly at 11 am Saturday. That evening, join us for a potluck to celebrate 25 years of laid-back anarchy in the Silver Desert. Plus, we will determine who is to be the next Champion of Silver Desert. Saturday evening a Bardic contest (topic to be announced that evening) will start it off, and Sunday morning we will hold our traditional weird weapons list and an array of non-fighting competitions The site is accessed by a paved road but is undeveloped. Bring your own water, at least a gallon per day per person, and another gallon for the water bearers. The elevation is high enough that you may expect warm days and very cool nights, (website address omitted).
