The Thirty-eighth Year

Coronet Tournament -- Principality of the Mists

September 26-28, 2003 (AS XXXVIII)

Fort Ord Travel Camp,
Monterey, CA

From The Page (September, 2003):

Join Their Highnesses Dmitriy and Jimena as Their Heirs are chosen! Camp and party in Darkwood's cool autumn weather, far from city lights and noise curfews!

Their Highnesses request that the populace, as well as the fighters, bring banners for display; and that all fighters wear armor and garments that are not intrusively modem. They charge you to avoid blue jeans under armor, uncovered and glaring plastics, and other such intrusively modem distractions. Their Highnesses are available for questions or consultation on this matter prior to the tournament.

Several exciting activities have been planned for the weekend, so aside from the fighting there will be much to do! This site is equestrian-friendly; please contact the Equestrian Marshal for info on planned activities.

On Saturday, Her Highness is sponsoring a scavenger hunt, which will run all day from morning court to evening court. The Tournament of Roses and A&S competitions (see the Competitions Calendar for more info) will also happen on Saturday.

On Sunday, after the Mists Management Meeting, please join Her Highness for tea and watch the Mists Banner Bearer Tournament, which will be fought on the eric. A court is planned for Sunday afternoon. As always, we ask that you try not to break down the eric until after Sunday court.

Site fee: $5 (Non-members: $8) Children under six get in free.

Site info: Fort Ord Travel Camp. Site opens at noon Friday and closes at 5 pm Sunday.

Bring your own water, as there may not be potable water available on site. Please be wary of poison oak. We also ask that you adhere strictly to West Kingdom Fire Laws, as this location has suffered fire problems once already this season.

Autocrat: Caitlin O'Byrne (contact info omitted)
