From The Page (November, 2003):
Make your Thanksgiving extra-special this year: let a Hawk's Haven turkey grace your table! Two turkeys will be awarded in the tournament; one to the top belted fighter and the other to the top unbelted fighter. Also included will be a boffer tourney (please bring boffers, gloves, face protection, etc.), a live steel cutting contest, a needlework class, and grovelling.
This year we would like all men to bring a helm lunch. You don't have to be a fighter; you don't have to have a helm; you don't even have to cook. (Baron Wilhelm reminds us of the famous KFC "helm" lunch from his early days.) It's a really wonderful way to meet new people (i.e. dine with a beautiful lady - or two!) Presentation is important, be creative!
Site Information: The tourney will be held at the Machado School in Morgan Hill. Site opens at 10 am, helm lunch begins at 11:30, and fighting begins at 1 pm. The site closes at 6 pm. Site fee is $5. (Non-members $8.)
Autocrat: Adriana Tacita (contact info omitted).
