Are you tired of sweltering in the midsummer heat? Does your belly yearn for a feast? Our new baroness, Cassandra Cernakova, has ordered up a truly outstanding feast and would like to personally invite you! You will enjoy a five-course meal (with cuisines from the 13th to 15th centuries) and a myriad of colorful entertainment.
Site/Fee info: Feast tickets are $13.00 for non-members / $10.00 for members and may purchased from members of the Barony of Fettburg from now until July 31st. You can also send a check, or money order payable to SCA/Barony of Fettburg to the feast coordinator along with a self addressed stamped envelope, to receive tickets by mail. A very limited number of tickets will be available at the door, so please buy your tickets early to ensure your seat. Site opens at 2 PM, dinner will be served at 5 PM, and site closes at 10 PM. Please remember to bring your feast gear.
The menu is:
Appetizer: Chocolate roses. Stuffed mushrooms
Soup: Norse stew (beef, pork stew), oyle soppys (onion bread soup)
Course 1: chicken with strawberry sauce (Chicken in a semi-sweet strawberry/wine sauce), roast pork loin, cauliflower casserole (spicy casserole made with cauliflower), pears in compost (pears and dates in a sweet wine sauce)
Course 2: Beef burgundy, Roast lamb in a spicy wine sauce, Perre (green peas with onions, parsley, spices and bread), Bryndons (fried dough lozenges in a spicy wine/fruit sauce)
Desert: Daryoles (a custard tart made with saffron and honey). Fruit tarts
