From The Page (November, 2003):
Join us as we engage in Fencing tourneys of all kinds during the day with a feast and Bardic in the night. Our Fencing Marshal will be holding a Fencing Melee Class for all those that wish to be authorized in this most elegant sport as well as tourneys to judge your skill. The feast will include four courses and beverages, with highlights such as boar and goose. Contact the feast coordinator for detailed info or dietary concerns. (Elsie ~ contact info omitted)
There will be A&S competitions in three categories, Metalworking, pre 17th century Fencing Garb, and finally Favors. A silent auction is planned to run through the day. A bardic event will be held Saturday evening with notice being given for the most pleasing work on the subject of anything that happened during the day. Documentation a plus, but filks are fine. Additional notice for first time bards.
Camping space is available Saturday night so that you may enjoy the evening's festivities as late as you wish. Truly period pavilions will have a place of honor along the main street of the village. All other contrivances will have a comfortable enclave just off the side.
Site Info: Held at "the Village" east of Turlock at (address omitted). The site will open Sahirday at 9 am and close Sunday at noon. It is a working ranch, so no pets. The site is WET. Site Fee is: $5 for members, $8 for non-members, plus an additional $10 for the Feast
