San Jose, CA
From The Page (October, 2002):
The ancient honorable, and mighty province of Southern Shores invites one and all to join us for a day of play, silliness and merriment before we are confined to our halls for the winter months! This year's harvest fest will continue the spirit of the carnival with numerous activities: there will be a tournament of roses featuring many types of games, such as masquerade boffer chess, life-size Jenga, hit the fool, bottle jousting, and a number of board games! Enter one of our many competitions & contests: arts-garb under $10 (entries will be donated to our gold key, and your site fee will be waived!); sciences-period lighting; brick spoon-food that looks like what it's not (bonus points if it looks like bricks!); brewing-cordials; and our annual neep carving contest! There will be an onsite raffle of many beautiful, useful, and unique items, and a brick soup luncheon. We will be making meat (we'll provide the meat) and non-meat soups, please bring something to go into one of the soups or some bread. For more information, visit the province's website: (website address omitted).
Site: opens at 10 AM. Suggested donation: $3. Note: no pavilions are allowed! We can put up to 6 pop-ups; please contact the autocrat if you wish to bring a pop-up.
Autocrat: Felicia Margerye Amondesham (contact info omitted)
