Haven't you always wanted to be a scribe? Of course you have! And this is your opportunity to spend a day talking with and learning from some of the best scribes in the Kingdom! There will be classes and books and examples and scintillating conversation! Come try your hand at calligraphy or at making your own paints! Learn scroll layout and color theory! See the scribes in their natural habitat!
Classes scheduled so far include: Color mixing, by Donata Ivanovna Basistova; Black Books of Hours, by Aldith Angharad St George; Celtic-style Scrolls, by Branwen ferch Emrys; Beginning Calligraphy, by Richard of Alder Tree; Acanthus Leaves, by Aja du Jardin; Less Toxic Pigments and Diapering by Juana Isabella de Montoya y Ramirez. Other classes are still being added. If you would like to teach a class, or if there is a class you would like to take, please contact the autocrat
Site fee is $5, not including the non-member surcharge. The site opens at 10 AM and closes at 6 PM.
