"The Coronation of Lochac's first King and Queen was attended by more than 450 people from all over the Known World. The event was one of great emotion, as those for so long loyal subjects of the King and Queen of the West, left their service to join the new Kingdom. Even the skies seemed to join in the sorrow of parting from the beloved arms of the West, opening and pouring their waters down upon all. Although tears were shed by many, the Coronation of King Alfar and Queen Elspeth was a triumphant occasion, as they took their rightful place among the Kings and Queens of the Known World.
"The event took place in the Barony of Politarchopolis over 2 days and 2 nights, starting with a ball in honour of Prince Gawyne and Princess Yve on Friday night. Saturday saw the final courts of Jade and Megan, King and Queen of the West within the lands of Lochac, and the Coronation of Alfar and Elspeth. Saturday night was a feast of celebration with the theme of "The Firmament" reflected in the decorations of the feast hall, and the food served.
"Sunday was a clear and sunny day, a fitting first day for the new Kingdom. Tourneys of both heavy fighting and rapier took place in a pretty park, as non-combatants wandered through market stalls." -- Robyn Hodgkin
