From The Page (March, 2002):
Beware the Ides of March! Do you crave the wacky? Are you seeking the unusual? Suffering from cabin fever? Join us as we once again celebrate our safe passage through the winter and the return of Spring with the sounds of merriment and the clash of steel. There shall be a prize tourney and a tourney to chose the new Baronial Rapier Champion. Fun galore for all including Quick the Bard (aka combat musical chairs), the return of Ambrosia Wars (ladies cleavage, grapes and marshmallows). Death by Dancing and other delights of the foolish.
Dress in your most festive persona garb; bring along music, dances, songs or games that would be period-appropriate in your native land. Bring banners and other decorations as these add color and a backdrop to make the mundane less intrusive. Bring a potluck dish of your native land to share and enjoy. Let's see how many different dishes and countries we can represent. If you are unsure about your ancestry; don't worry, we won't be checking for nationality papers at the door. A bevy of beautiful desserts will be provided to top off the evening's potluck. This is the event for the final competition for the Eskalayan Baronial A&S champion.
