The Thirty-seventh Year

Black and White Tourney -- Champclair

August 11, 2002 (AS XXXVII)

(public park),
Vacaville, CA

From The Page (July, 2002):

Are you sick and tired of fighting? Do you just wish Tourney season would end? Are you really glad you can't get to Pennsic this year? We thought not. Thus, the Shire of Champclair is pleased to hold the third annual Black and White Tourney. Centrally located on the border between Cynagua and the Mists, we entreat all fighters to come vie for personal glory and their pick of some mighty fine prizes, provided by the artisans and craftsmen of Champclair, and to accrue some Principality Points for a team winner. The tourney will be round-robin or double elimination, depending on the number of fighters. First choice of prizes go to the fighter with the most wins. All fighters will select a prize, in order of their wins. In addition, there will be a symbolic gift to the Principality that amasses the most "Principality Points" earned by both fighters and fights won. Currently there is a tie of one point going to Cynagua and one point for the Mists. In addition, there will be an Arts and Sciences competition with prize choices alternated with the fighters, and entries will count as "Principality Points" equal with fights. The category is Anything Black and White. Documentation helps.

Site Info: The site opens at 9 AM. and the Tourney starts at 10:30 AM. Fun will be had by all. Site fee is $4 per person. The site is a public park in Vacaville. There is limited shade, so bring your sunshades and pavilions. There is a restroom.

Autocrat: Roy Nicholson / (contact info omitted).
