From The Page (June, 2002):
This year's Arts and Sciences Tournament will be held at Bort Meadows. Come join us for a weekend of fascinating classes, enticing displays, informative workshops and, best of all, a Carnival! The day's activities will include classes in a wide variety of Arts and Sciences, including a full martial arts track (bring your armor), competitions (see list in front of Page), workshops and displays. The evening's activities will center around a grand party in a Carnival theme. There will be performers, games and activities of all sorts. We encourage everybody to participate at whatever level they can-decorate your clothes, wear a mask, or maybe put on a funny hat-but most of all we encourage everybody to join together for the pure fun of it! See the Words from the A&S Officers at the front of this Page for additional info, and keep an eye on om growing website (website address omitted) for more details as they become available.
Note: This year's A&S display is "Carnival" - please bring any costume bits, masks, puppets, game boards or other items you have prepared to participate in the evening's Carnival for display during the day.
