Penitencia Creek Park,
San Jose, CA
From The Page (January, 2002):
Warriors of the West Kingdom, gather for a full and exciting day of combat and camaraderie! The war season will soon be upon us - the time has come to hone our skills of war!
Learn how to break through a shield wall - and crush your opponents under the mighty Western boot. Learn how teamwork can overcome superior numbers - and strike fear into the hearts of the enemy. Learn how one war unit can roll a flank, while another attacks the enemy's weak point - and decimates their line. Learn how war units can support each other, making each unit and each fighter stronger and more effective. Learn how each individual contributes to the mighty whole, and help to make the Western army the strongest in the Known World.
The War Collegium will be held at Penitencia Creek Park in San Jose (the Wargy site). Existing war units are encouraged to show up in force, banners flying high and proud! Individual warriors will also have plenty of opportunity to learn to fight in units and experience l'esprit de corps.
Site opens at 9AM for setup. Volunteers for setup, waterbearing and marshalling are needed and appreciated - please contact the autocrat if you can help out! A simple lunch will be included in the site fee, which is $5. The time has come for the warriors of the West Kingdom to unite and practice the art of war. Come learn how to support your brothers and sisters in arms!
Autocrat: Fabian Arnett von Schwetzingen (contact info omitted).
