The Thirty-sixth Year

Sheep Raid -- St. Brendan

April 5-7, 2002 (AS XXXVI)

Rowdy Creek Campground,
Smith River, CA

From The Page (April, 2002):

The College of St Brendan's is venturing north into the territory of Da Vikings of Wudeholt be Secq to free their captured flocks from durance vile. All brave warriors are invited to assist in this noble effort, along with their families and friends who provide succor and support. All sheep attending the event must be registered at the gate, due to the prevalence of sheep thievery which has plagued the event in years past. All sheep must be presented at court Saturday evening; the miscreant with the most misplaced sheep will be suitably rewarded. Other contests will be: Textiles - Woolen Articles, Bardic — Stories and Songs about Sheep (documentation earns extra credit!) and Wooden Spoon — Wolves in Sheep's Clothing (food which is not quite what it appears). The College will be selling breakfast Saturday morning; there will be a potluck feast Saturday evening.

Site: Rowdy Creek Campground, (address omitted), Smith River, CA. Site is open from 12 PM Friday to 5 PM Sunday. Site fee is $3. Parents, please take note: a rowdy creek indeed runs through the site. Please keep an eye on your children at all times.

Autocrat: Rachel Taggert (contact info omitted).

Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
