The Ancient, Honorable and Mighty Province of Southern Shores once again hosts its annual Harvest Fest. This wondrous event promises fun and frolic for all, and will take place at John D. Morgan Park in Campbell. Site opens at 9 am. Site fee is $3.
There are many enjoyable activities planned including:
A non-fighting Tournament of Roses for those interested in challenging others to the various games that will be present to play. There will be dancing on the green. Our annual Neep carving contest. There is plenty of greensward for fighting challenges. There are many interesting competitions that you may try to enter, including: Sciences: From the Woods. Arts: From the Garden. Brick Spoon: From the Grain. Brewing: From the Apothecary. An on-site coloring contest for children of all ages. We will also have an on-site raffle of many beautiful, useful, and unique items.
We plan to have Brick Stew luncheon! We will provide the meat. Please bring a compatible component according to the time period of your persona: In the Beginning - Battle of Hastings: Breads. Battle of Hastings - Magna Carta: Leafy Greens. Magna Carta - Turkish Capture of Constantinople: Roots & Legumes. Turkish Capture of Constantinople - Coronation of James I of England: Spices.
Those gentles who get these dates correct will receive a special token. So come and join the fun-loving folk of Southern Shores for a day in the sun, before we are confined to our halls for the winter months.
