The Thirty-sixth Year

April Fools Tournament -- Rivenoak

March 30, 2002 (AS XXXVI)

Bidwell Park,
Chico, CA

From The Page (March, 2002):

Their Excellencies Thor Stagge and Eowyn, Baron and Baroness of Rivenoak, invite one and all to join them in a fun-filled celebration of spring. A Queen and King of misrule will be chosen to oversee the foolishness of this event. There will be a foolish weapons tourney for heavy fighters. All weapons must resemble something found in a normal Middle Ages household. (Contact the autocrat for details.) The ever popular Armored Hopscotch will once again be played and Rivenoak's Brute Squad will be chosen. We will not have a specific time set aside for feasting, instead there will be a groaning board with hot soup provided throughout the event, so you can eat whenever you feel hungry. Everyone is requested to bring finger foods to complete the groaning board. Please keep in mind that this is an outdoor site so bring picnic-type food items. The site will open at 11 AM and close at 5 PM.

Site Donation: $3.00

Autocrat: Francis Bull of Kent (contact info omitted).
