BEWARE! Vikings have been sighted near our fair Barony yet again...Not to fear. Our Norse friends are not raiding, (this time anyway) but are hear to hold an Allthing! where in disputes are settled, sagas retold, games played and feasting abounds until you are too tired to row your long ships home.
Food will be simple fare: Lunch on Saturday of soups, breads, cheeses, and meats feast Saturday night will be potluck with beast and bird being furnished. The potluck will be as follows: A-H Side Dish, I-R Breads, S-Z Deserts
There will be many competitions during the weekend including. Axe throwing, knife throwing, zert throwing, ROCK, Mjollner toss. Wrestling, best Viking garb, obstacle coarse, and for the heavy fighters, a single weapon/shield bear pit. There will also be some competitions for bardic.
The event will be held at Lions Park Campground on Boniface Pkwy. Site opens at noon on the 10th. Site fee will be $5 for adults, $3 for children under 12. Babes in arms free. Autocrat: Erik TorBjom (contact info omitted).
