From The Page (February, 2002):
Tired of the cold and dark? Has winter's grip gotten you down? Come join us at the oasis of Scheherazade in celebration of Baroness Katla's day of birth. Park your camel at the door and bask in the warmth of the day with friends. There shall be a tournament for heavy and rapier fighting for Baroness' Champion. There will be a storytelling contest to explain how your persona came to be at an oasis. There will also be a Middle Eastern garb contest. This does not need to be the actual garb: It can be a documented paper no more than 5 pages in length. There will be dancing throughout the day at the request of Her Excellency. Be sure to bring your carpets and pillows to enjoy the light feast in the evening. They did not dine on tables at court and such things are very scarce on site as well.
