St. Mark's Episcopal Church,
Palo Alto, CA
From The Page (December, 2001):
You are cordially invited to attend the annual Crosston Dance Ball! Show off your twinkle toes and Twelfth Night clothes as you dance the night away in the Shire of Crosston. Don't know the steps, you say? Not to worry, we'll be teaching the dances during the day. Come learn to dance from 1 to 5 PM. There will be a dinner break from 5 to 6 PM, and then we'll dance from 6 to 10 PM. Some of the dances to be taught include Dull Sir John, Boateman, and Chiranzana. For those who would like to take a break from the dancing, there will be late-period games available for your amusement, including Fox & Geese, dice for Hazard, cards for One and Thirty, Primero and Put, tables for Irish, and Doublets. The ball will have as its theme the black, gold, and silver colors of Crosston. Those who would like to dress the part are encouraged to do so!
The Ball will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, (address omitted), in Palo Alto.
Suggested site donation is $3, but no eager dancer will be turned away. In addition, Crosston will be turning over the gate donations to the Kingdom Travel Fund.
Autocrat: Katherine de Langelei (contact info omitted).
