The Thirty-sixth Year

That Dam War III: Carpe Caviar (or a fight for the fish!!) -- Betony Wood

November 3, 2001 (AS XXXVI)

Alfricland (private),
Sacramento, CA

From The Page (October, 2001):

We, the good Shire of Betony Wood do here and now seek to reclaim the rich and fertile salmon spawning grounds of Nimbus currently held by our Neighbors to the North, the Province of Golden Rivers. We issue a challenge to the warriors of those lands to meet our brave and valiant fighters on the field of battle! If you are fearless enough, we would meet on the Land of Alfric and Sharra Favesbane. This place is known to all valiant fighters as Alfricland. We issue a call to our brothers at arms who would support us in our just cause to fight alongside our noble warriors of the land. The seneschal challenges any and all rapier fighters to best him for what should be ours. Any challengers who dare duel with him will feel his glove slap their insolent face before he dispatches them.

Autocrat: Richard Talbot (contact info omitted).

Site fee: $4 per person/13 years and younger free admission.

Special notes: We are having an Alfricland Garage Sale/Fundraiser. If you have any items that you would like to donate for sale to raise money, bring it to the war. If you have items that may considered "unusual," please let the autocrat know. NO access to (delapidated) pool; NO stepping/access to mobile home and into flower garden! NO access to house unless medical emergency. If any of these actions are found to be done, it will be considered disrespectful to the Shire and Alfricland and you will be asked to leave site.
