From The Page (August, 2000):
Greetings unto all fellow Oerthans and Guests, from Dresden and Rolynnda! In an effort to establish another yearly tradition for the Principality, my lord and I have decided to have a second 'GATHERING'' upon our beautiful grounds. Come prepared for: cold nights, small biting insects, rain or too much sun, and a weekend packed with activity. Site will open Friday eve and close Sunday night, first come, first choice on camp sites. Those who attended 1999 Summer Coronet know there will be plenty of room for all.
The covered area will be next to the forest this time, so some parking will be available by the house. Sorry for the noise of the generator, but it is the only power we have to keep the refrigeration and water heating units going. We look forward to seeing as many of you as are able to attend, and to the honor of hosting an Oerthan event for Their Highnesses.
Site fee: One pound of meat (any meat-make sure it is fresh), some bread, and some uncooked vegetable, pasta, rice, or fruit *per person* over the age of 6. Also, one inexpensive item *per party* to be used as prizes for the tournaments and quests.
Why this type of site fee? Creativity. We will provide fuel for cooking, plus hot water, eggs and gruel for breakfast. The rest is up to the nomadic travelers, just as at a true "Gathering." You will be asked to help prepare the five meals your offerings will provide. We hope this will prove to be a truly Oerthan Participation event Refrigeration will be provided for perishables, as well as hot water for washing (we can arrange a few showers if needed).
Oerthan officers would also like to see heavy-weapon and light-weapon tourneys, a rapier/ fencing tourney and archery, As you can see, prizes are being provided-all we need is organizers. We will arrange for hunts and a Fairy Quest (one adult, one for the children).
Autocrat: Rolynnda of the Azurestone (contact info omitted).
Description of this event (if any), taken from The Page, or from memory of at least one person who attended the event.
