John D. Morgan Park,
From The Page (May, 2000):
The Ancient, Honorable and Frolicsome Province of Southern Shores invites fighters of every rank and station to join them for a day of good-natured competition—our Warlord tourney. Three lists are planned for the day: the Warlord Tourney, a Prize tourney, and a Provincial Fencing championship tourney.
All lists are open to ALL fighters. Prizes will be awarded in all the Lists, and the winner of the Warlord tourney earns the honor of wearing the gull (yup, we're givin' them the bird...) and leading our troops to victory this season (We actually fielded a force at Wargy this year. Honest and for true).
Other activities include the Hunt for the One True Brick, a Raffle, Hunkerhauser, Games, Dancing, and a Coloring Contest for kids of all ages, and a raffle, oh and did I mention a raffle?
Competitions: Arts - Heraldic Banners, waving in the wind. Sciences- the "Geoffrey Scott Memorial Competition..." "The Cutting Edge" Weapons, open Category (and Edible Weapons, and you better be willing to use them). Brewing: small beer.s, small meades. Brick Spoon: "Just Desserts"
Site Info: The site will open at 8 am. List sign-ups start at 9 am, and fighting starts at 10 am. The site fee is $3.00.
Autocrat: Justin of Mariposa (contact info omitted).
