John D. Morgan Park,
From The Page (October, 2000):
The Ancient, Honorable and Mighty Province of Southern Shores once again hosts its annual Harvest Fest. This wondrous event will take place on Saturday, October 7, at John D. Morgan Park in Campbell.
Among the many activities planned are: games of various kinds; Brick Soup; and, of course, our annual Jack-o-turnip carving contest. There will be a non-fighting Tournament of Roses for those interested in challenging others to the various games that will be present. We will also have an on-site raffle of many beautiful, useful, and unique items.
Competitions: Arts—jewelry. Sciences—medieval cover-ups for mundane items. Cooking—soups. Brewing— anything brewed.
So come and join the fun-loving folk of Southern Shores for a day in the sun, before we are confined to our halls for the winter months.
Site info: Site opens at 10 am. Site fee is $3,
Autocrat: Alexandyr Sterling (contact info omitted).
