From The Page (November, 2000):
Good food, high spirits, silly games, an audacious play (ahhhhh), and much merriment and dancing will greet all who join the good folk of Rivenoak for our annual Yule Revel and Feast As tradition demands, the Barony will be providing succulent meats of beef, fish and fowl for the served potluck feast and we ask that the populace bring their favorite side dish or dessert to share with eight to ten others. We have a wonderful hall with mock stained glass windows, wrought iron chandeliers and open beam ceilings but very limited kitchen facilities so please plan accordingly. Please bring your banners to help decorate the hall, but leave your spurs at home. Because of the wooden floors, spurs are strictly forbidden by the site owners. In keeping with the theme of the evening there will be a sponsored competition for best illuminated table display so gather up those candles. The doors open at 5pm and reluctantly close at 11:30pm. The feasting will begin promptly at 6pm (real time).
Site Fee: $6; children 6-12 $3; under 6 free.
Dinner entertainment will feature the newly formed Candle-Lite Dance Company, the Rivenoakie Thespians (such as they are), great Middle Eastern Dancing, and some new "Siranna silliness." Period dancing will be interspersed throughout the evening. Bards, troubadours and musicians are MOST welcome; contact the autocrat prior to the event if you wish to perform.
Autocrat: Siranna of Hawthorn Hall (contact info omitted)
