The Thirty-fifth Year

Purgatorio Coronation

August 25-27, 2000 (AS XXXV)

From The Page (July, 2000):

The Province of the Silver Desert is hosting Purgatorio Coronation for the Kingdom of the West at a beautiful ranch tucked in a valley in the Sierras. The site is located at about 4,700 feet above sea level, there will be an average of about 20% humidity, and the temperature during the day usually runs in the very low 90s with cool nights (the mosquitoes do get active at this time).

Because the conditions are dry and the elevation is higher than usual, dehydration does occur much faster than at the usual sites ... so come prepared with extra drinking water! There is a stream beginning at Frenchman's Lake which runs into a small pond and feeds into two streams on site, therefore fishing and swimming at your own risk will be permitted. Horses are welcomed on site. Dogs are permitted on site but must be leashed and attached to either a person or secured to a dependable stake. This is a working cattle and sheep ranch and there will be livestock on the ranch. Any dogs not properly contained will be asked to be removed from the site.

Site Information: The site will open at 2 pm Friday and will close at 4 pm Sunday. There will be the usual information to follow in next month's issue of the Page.

Autocrats: Teresa Maria Isabella Castro (name) and Mahon MacDiarmada (contact info omitted).

Reference Point: This event was the end of the second reign of Jade and Siobhan, and the beginning of the second reign of Uther and Osa.
